What is Hair Art Makeup?

Hair art makeup is a procedure in which pigment is applied in small dots to areas of the scalp, creating a natural appearance and helping to conceal hair loss or alopecia areata.

Because the scalp produces more sebum, pigment can sometimes be difficult to retain and may blur. Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) addresses this by depositing pigment into the upper dermal layer of the scalp, which helps it stay in place more effectively.

The procedure is generally painless. For those with higher sensitivity, a topical anesthetic cream can be used.
The results typically last 2–3 years, though longevity may vary depending on individual skin type.

Important Notes

Avoid washing your hair on the day of the procedure. Please wash your hair before your appointment.
Avoid hair coloring or perm treatments for 2 weeks before the procedure. Also avoid saunas, intense exercise, and excessive sun exposure.
If you are using minoxidil treatment, stop using it 3 days prior to the procedure.
If you have any skin issues, they should be treated first. Consultation with our dermatology department is available.
Some itching of the scalp may occur after the procedure.
Touch-ups are recommended 2–3 years later if the color appears to fade.
