Teeth Whitening
Medical Services
| *1Whitening – Side Effects and Risks | ・The protective layer on the surface of the teeth may be dissolved, making the tooth surface more prone to roughness. Generally, this protective layer will restore itself within 24 to 48 hours. ・The treatment may stimulate the nerves of the teeth, which can lead to tooth sensitivity. ・The desired level of whiteness may not be achieved in a single session. Additionally, uneven coloring may occur. ・Due to differences in tooth thickness or areas where the whitening effect is less effective, the expected or uniform whiteness may not be achieved. (Results may vary from person to person.) ・In most cases, the whitening effect will gradually fade over time. The effects of a single treatment generally last about 3 to 6 months. ・This treatment is not covered by health insurance. ・Regular maintenance is necessary to maintain the whiteness. |

| *2Ceramic Treatment – Side Effects and Risks | ・The treatment may involve shaving or reducing the natural tooth structure. There is also a possibility of developing tooth sensitivity. ・Gum grafting performed during treatment may cause secondary bleeding, pain, or swelling. ・In some cases, prior treatment such as root canal therapy or the placement of a core (post and core) may be necessary. ・Due to individual differences, the ceramic restoration may chip, crack, or become dislodged. ・For patients with strong bite forces or bruxism (teeth grinding), the use of a night guard may be recommended to prevent damage. ・After aesthetic treatment, symptoms such as spontaneous pain, pain when biting, or sensitivity to hot or cold may occur. ・In some aesthetic cases, nerve treatment (root canal therapy) or even tooth extraction may be required. ・When tooth extraction or surgical procedures are involved, there is a risk of bleeding and swelling. ・Ceramic aesthetic treatments are not covered by health insurance. |
Dentist Profile

Dr. Kazuhiro Kikuchi, Dentist
We use a dental microscope (microscope) not only for root canal treatments but also to assist in a wide range of dental procedures.
Patients can even view videos of their treatments, helping them feel more informed and reassured throughout the process. With accurate diagnosis, we make every effort to preserve teeth that can be saved.
For teeth that cannot or should not be preserved, we will carefully discuss the timing of extraction and the best treatment options afterward — always in collaboration with the patient.《Member of the Japan Society of Microscope Dentistry》

Equipment Overview
-

- dental microscope
- At our clinic, we are committed to providing more precise and safe treatment by using the top-of-the-line surgical microscope manufactured by Carl Zeiss, a renowned German company.
This microscope features an excellent optical system that allows us to view areas at approximately 7 to 32 times magnification compared to the naked eye. As a result, we can identify areas that are difficult to see with the naked eye and minimize the amount of tooth removal when necessary.
In surgical procedures, this also enables minimally invasive incisions, allowing us to perform treatments with greater care and consideration for our patients.
-

- Arm-type X-ray CT scanner
- We have introduced the latest X-ray imaging device, the "Aadva GX-100 3D."
By minimizing motion blur, it captures accurate and clear images, allowing for more detailed treatment.
■ It visualizes areas that are difficult to capture in 2D, supporting patients’ understanding of diagnosis and treatment plans.
■ High-resolution panoramic technology
You can select an optimized panoramic image focused from five different tomographic layers, reducing the risk of retakes due to positioning errors.
